A Dream That Refused to Fade
In a small village called Khatikamadi, nestled 42 km away from Jhadol tehsil in Udaipur district, lives a young woman whose determination is nothing short of inspiring. Meet Asha Bhajat-a student, a dreamer, and a fighter who has never let hardships dim her aspirations for education.

Born on July 12, 2001, Asha grew up in a humble household with her parents, late Shri Jamnalal and Smt. Badkidevi, along with her brother and two sisters. Her father always believed in the power of education and encouraged his children to pursue studies. However, life took an unexpected turn when he passed away in 2014 due to illness, leaving the family in financial distress.

A Struggle Against All Odds
Losing a father is never easy, but for Asha, it meant shouldering responsibilities far beyond her years. With her mother suffering from cataracts in both eyes, the burden of keeping the household afloat grew heavier. Despite these challenges, Asha remained steadfast in her pursuit of education.

She completed her schooling at the government school in Khatikamadi and is currently in her second year of a Bachelor of Arts program at Government College Gogla. However, continuing her education has not been easy. Financial constraints forced her to take up labor work in her village to support her studies. Her brother, too, contributes by working as a laborer, ensuring that Asha's dream of education remains alive.

The Power of Perseverance
Asha's story is a testament to the fact that no hurdle is too big when one is determined to succeed. Her unwavering dedication caught the attention of the Sayar Kunwar Lodha Scholarship Award committee. Recognizing her resilience, she was chosen as a recipient of the prestigious scholarship in 2022.

The first installment of the Sayar Kanwar Lodha Scholarship, amounting to ₹15,000, was awarded to Asha-an acknowledgment of her incredible journey and a stepping stone toward a brighter future.
