A Dream That Refuses to Fade
In the small village of Phutagadh of Pipalbara Gram Panchayat of Jhadol Panchayat Samiti of Udaipur district, where opportunities are scarce, 19-year-old Hina Kumari Khokharia is defying all odds to pursue her education. Life hasn't been easy for her, but Hina refuses to let hardships dictate her future. Her journey is one of resilience, determination, and an unyielding passion for learning.

A Childhood Marked by Struggles
Hina was just 11 years old when she lost her father. The family's only source of income-farming-was insufficient to support her mother and four siblings. To make ends meet, her mother worked as a laborer, tirelessly ensuring her children could continue their education. Despite these financial struggles, Hina remained steadfast in her academic pursuits.

Balancing Work and Studies
Understanding the burden on her mother, Hina stepped in to contribute. She travels to Gujarat to work as a laborer, helping support the family. Her younger brother, Sundar Lal, follows suit-studying while working to provide financial assistance. Even amidst this struggle, Hina's commitment to education has never wavered.

Shining Through Adversity
Hina has always been an excellent student. She secured 60% in her 10th-grade exams and 57% in her 12th-grade exams, achievements that reflect her dedication despite the obstacles she faces. Now in her first year of a science degree, she dreams of pursuing MBBS or another professional degree that will allow her to serve society through government service.

The Power of Recognition: Sayer Kunwar Scholarship
Recognizing her determination, Hina was awarded the Sayer Kunwar Scholarship for the year 2020. This scholarship, which provides financial assistance of Rs. 24,000 over two years, aims to support her higher education. The first installment of Rs. 12,000, along with a certificate, has already been awarded to Hina, marking a significant step in her journey.
